Parents’ Attitudes about Mental Health Treatment
How do parents and guardians of youth in mentoring programs feel about mentors talking to youth about mental health?
Our team created a survey for parents and guardians of youth in mentoring programs. Our goal is to learn about parents’ and guardians’ attitudes about mentors helping youth with mental health skills, in addition to learning how parents and guardians feel about technology-delivered interventions for mental health and therapy more generally. We are currently analyzing the data, and look forward to sharing the results and our team’s recommendations for mentoring programs.
The results of this survey will allow us to understand how mentors can best be leveraged to provide supportive accountability to youth in a way that’s acceptable to the parents and caregivers.
