On May 26th – May 28th, 2023, researchers from the Center for Evidence-Based Mentoring collaborated on a poster presentation and a symposium for the 2023 Association for Psychological Science conference.

The poster presentation, titled “Supportive Accountability for University Students’ Engagement with the Healthy Minds Meditation Application,” overviewed a research proposal for an 8-week randomized controlled trial to test whether supportive accountability from a peer mentor will increase university students’ engagement with the Healthy Minds Meditation Application and lead to greater improvements in mindfulness-based skills compared to students who use Healthy Minds without supportive accountability.

The symposium presentation, titled “Implementation of a Technology-Enhanced Peer Mentor Referral System for First-Year University Students,” was part of a larger symposium on leveraging technology and data to improve college and university communities’ wellbeing. Findings were presented from the pilot year of MentorPRO. The full paper can be found here.
